About Lula Sailor

Laura Ellis, aka Lula Sailor, is an artist in her thirties who creates Psychedelic, Outsider Art. Her artist handle is a reference to David Lynch’s work, a major inspiration in Lula’s world.

Lula was born in France in 1992. She did not always draw but a shock in her life exacerbated the always-present need to let out, release what was inside of her. Her drawings are a self-expression of her moments of glee, her sorrows, her dreams.

This website is to introduce visitors to her work and her life. She uses watercolours, acrylics, poscas, felt tip pens to create intricate worlds and exploratory pictures. Her work is often made of sequences, patterns and logic. Her art has been shown in collective exhibitions in Paris and London since 2021.

Lula is also a musician. She writes lyrics and plays guitar, she has recently joined a gospel choir in London. She relocated to London in March 2025 to pursue art and music.
